The Az Zahraa Islamic Center enables its members to promote the values and practices of the Islamic Shia Ithna Asheri Jaffari Faith for the spiritual, social, educational and economic well being of the community.
Az Zahraa Islamic Center exists to achieve the pleasure of Allah SWT by developing a spiritual and vibrant community based on the priciples of the Holy Qur’an, the sunnah of the Holy prophet (SAW) of Islam and the teachings of the Ahlulbayt (AS). Its purpose is to address the spiritual, social, educational and economic needs of its members and it strives to develop positive relationships with other Muslim and non-Muslim communities for the benefit of humanity as a whole.
The objectives of the SMCBC are, in accordance with the tenets, doctrines and Sharia of the Shia Ithna-Asheri Muslim Sect of Islam, to:
- Protect and further the religious, educational, literary, moral and charitable interests of the Community;
- Advance the tenets and doctrines of the said Shia Sect by religious teachings and institutions tending to the edification and spiritual uplift and comfort of the Community;
- Endeavour to bring to bear the Islamic fundamentals and code upon the day to day life of Muslims; and
- Create, cultivate and maintain goodwill amongst the community
